Quick Start
Follow these steps to install Chat Relay.
Download and unzip the Master Package.
In your WP Admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload.
Select the chat-relay.zip found inside the package.
Activate and navigate to Chat Relay in the sidebar to configure.
For static sites, open the static-standalone folder.
Edit the configuration and paste the script into your footer. Place it just before the closing
tag.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
Usage Telemetry: When the widget loads, a request is made to api.edgely.link to log the hostname (domain URL) where the plugin is active. This is strictly for license verification and aggregate usage analytics. We do not store or track individual visitor identities, and we do not retain IP addresses associated with these requests.
2. Message Handling
No Server Storage: "Chat Relay" is a passthrough bridge. Your messages are never sent to, or stored on, our servers. They are constructed entirely within your local browser environment and transferred directly to the WhatsApp API. Metadata: To assist the recipient, the widget automatically appends the current Page Title to the message. No other browser data (cookies, history, or hardware info) is accessed.
3. Third-Party Data Processors
By using the chat functionality, you acknowledge that your message data will be processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp) in accordance with their privacy standards.
